The first eighteen holes of the 2019 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Men's Golf Championship at the Waterville Country Club in Oakland, Maine are complete. Nine teams comprised of five golfers hit the links on this chilly and wet day, though only the top four scores per team are added to make each team score.
SUNY Delhi holds a solid lead at 295, with Thomas (309) and Husson (311) in a tight race for second. Castleton (318), SUNY Canton (322), Maine Maritime (328), and UMaine-Farmington (336) are also tightly packed in the middle, with Northern Vermont-Johnson (360) and UMaine-Presque Isle (392) rounding out the field.
Sam Sharpe, a first-year student athlete from Maine Maritime Academy, birdied the 13th with a chip-shot from the bunker to notch a score of two on the par-three hole, in what was the best shot of the day.
