Men's Lacrosse Weekly Honors (March 24, 2019)




Player of the Week

Jacob Facey, SUNY Canton
(Junior, A - Canton, New York)

Facey totaled eight goals, one assist and 15 ground balls as the Roos split a pair of games last week. He tied a game-high with four goals on four shots, and added a team-high six ground balls, in a 16-13 loss to SUNY Poly. He followed that up with a game-high four goals and nine ground balls in a 15-7 road win at Maine Maritime Academy.


Defensive Player of the Week

Brandon Schmidt, SUNY Canton
(Sophomore, D - Ballston Spa, New York)

Schmidt tallied 12 ground balls and six caused turnovers as the Roos split a pair of contests. He totaled four ground balls and three caused turnovers while scoring his second goal of the season in a 16-13 loss at SUNY Poly on Wednesday. He followed that up with eight ground balls and three caused turnovers in a 15-7 win at Maine Maritime Academy to move the Roos to 2-0 in NAC play.


Rookie of the Week

Travis Biggs, SUNY Delhi
(Sophomore, A/M - Tully, New York)

Biggs collected 15 ground balls and caused a turnover while scoring two hat tricks this week. He scored three goals and added two assists in an 11-9 win against SUNY Cobleskill early in the week. On Saturday, Biggs scored three more goals, caused a turnover, and collected 13 ground balls in a NAC win on the road at Husson.
