Player of the Week

Malik Talbert, SUNY Delhi
(Senior, M - Valley Stream, New York)

Talbert scored eight goals in two games, while also chipping in an assist, for a total of nine points this week. In a non-conference win against Houghton, Talbert scored four times and picked up two ground balls. In a conference tilt with NVU-Johnson, Talbert scored a game-high four goals on only five shots (80%), and also picked up an assist and three ground balls in the 22-3 win.

   
 

Defensive Player of the Week

Matthew Emery, Maine Maritime
(Sophomore, GK - St. Johnsbury, Vermont)

Emery was impressive against Thomas on Saturday, picking up the first win of the season for the Mariners. The sophomore goalkeeper allowed only two goals, both coming in the first quarter. He settled in and stopped 18 shots for an incredilble 90% save percentage. Emery also caused a turnover on his way to claiming his first career win in net.

   
 

Rookie of the Week

Noah Robinson, SUNY Canton
(Freshman, M - Mississauga, Ontario)

Robinson posted eight points, on five goals and three assists, as the Roos split a pair of games last week. He tied a team-high with two goals and one assist in a 14-7 loss to SUNY Potsdam on Wednesday. He followed that up with three goals and two assists in a 13-8 NAC win versus NVU-Lyndon on Saturday. Robinson also recorded 10 ground balls and two caused turnovers on the week, including a team-high seven ground balls against Potsdam.
