Men's Lacrosse Weekly Honors (April 14, 2019)

 

 

 

Player of the Week

Spencer Aubin, Northern Vermont-Lyndon
(Senior, A - Sharon, Massachussetts)

Aubin had a record-setting day in a non-conference win against Becker. He tied program records for goals and assists, and set a new standard for total points, in a single game. Aubin scored a game-high seven goals and tallied five assists, for 12 points in the game. The senior also tallied a goal in a game against NAC-leading SUNY Delhi for 13 points on the week.

   

Defensive Player of the Week

Nick Walberger, SUNY Canton
(Sophomore, FO/M - Fulton, New York)

Walberger was a force for the Roos in a 16-13 conference win against Husson, tallying a game-best 13 ground balls while going a remarkable 22-for-30 in the faceoff circle. He was a critical component of Canton holding advantages in faceoffs (24-8), shots (64-36), shots on goal (36-24) and ground balls (60-36).

   

Rookie of the Week

Nick Dower, SUNY Delhi
(Freshman, M - Oneonta, New York)

Dower won a combined 34 faceoffs and picked up 28 ground balls over two games. He won 14 faceoffs and picked up 11 ground balls in a non-conference win against Farmingdale State on Wednesday. On Saturday, Dower won 20-of-25 faceoffs against Northern Vermont-Lyndon, while also picking up 17 ground balls in the 14-7 win, helping the Broncos remain undefeated in NAC play. Dower leads the league with 128 ground balls and 184 faceoff wins so far this season.
