Men's Lacrosse Weekly Honors (May 5, 2019)

Rookie & Player of the Week

Hunter Olsen, SUNY Canton
(Freshman, A - Webster, New York)

Olsen finished with a season-high six points, three goals and three assists, as the Roos came up just short of a title in the NAC championship game. The rookie had a hand in five of SUNY Canton's first six goals, getting the hosts out to a 6-4 lead with just under seven minutes left in the opening half. He recorded a hat trick on just four shots, and added three ground balls, on his way to making the All-Tournament Team. This is his third weekly award this season.

Defensive Player of the Week

Josh Yelvington, SUNY Canton
(Senior, M - Carthage, New York)

Yelvington led the Roos with four ground balls and two caused turnovers as the team came up just short of a NAC Championship on Saturday. The senior, who owns the SUNY Canton single-season and career records for goals and points, posted two goals and an assist. For his efforts on the field he was named to the All-Tournament Team. This is the third-consecutive weekly award for Yelvington.
