NAC Men's Soccer Weekly Honors (Week Ending 10/21/18)

Player of the Week

Nathan Firlings, Husson

(So., F - Woodbury, Conn.)

Helping the Eagles grab two shutout conference victories this week, Nathan Firlings recorded a seven point week. His first four points came with back-to-back goals against UMaine-Presque Isle en route to a 4-0 win, then followed up with a goal and an assist as the Eagles shut down Northern Vermont-Lyndon, 3-0.

Defensive Player of the Week

Jonathan Dutka, Thomas

(Sr., GK - Durham, N.H.)

Dutka had an outstanding game in net in the Terriers 2-1 double-overtime win over SUNY Canton on Saturday. The senior made seven saves to help the Terriers grab the conference victory. The Terriers remain undefeated in conference play behind Dutka's .828 save percentage.

Rookie of the Week

Bryce Hayman, Husson

(Fr., D/M - Gray, Maine)

Hayman sent a dangerous ball on frame that the Hornet's goalie barely got a few fingers on before it slipped away just long enough for teammate Nathan Firlings to secure the rebound, giving Husson the 1-0 advantage on Saturday afternoon in a conference matchup. Hayman notched his third assist of the season as the Eagles went on to take a 3-0 shutout victory.
