  • Josh Grant Named NAC Man of the Year

    The North Atlantic Conference (NAC) is pleased to announce that Joshua Grant of Lyndon State College has been selected as the winner of its annual Man of the Year award in a vote of the league's athletic directors. A four-year standout cross country runner at Lyndon, Grant will be honored at a home event during the 2013-14 academic year.

    Josh Grant, a senior runner with the Lyndon men’s cross country program, was one of just 162 male student-athletes nationwide to earn a spot on the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Team.
  • Powers and Grant Lead Hornets to Historic finish at NCAA Regionals

    Lyndon State College junior, and 2012 North Atlantic Conference Runner of the Year, Kyle Powers placed ninth; and teammate Joshua Grant finished 16th at the NCAA New England Regional Championships on Saturday to lead the Hornets to a 14th place overall finish.
  • NAC Men's Cross Country All-Conference Announced

    Kyle Powers put the finishing touches on an outstanding juniorseason, leading Lyndon State College to the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Men's Cross Country title and earning Runner of the Year honors in the process. Powers, who won the NAC Championship in a time of 25:35, edged out teammate and 2009 Runner of the Year Josh Grant.

  • Lyndon Captures Men's Cross Country Title

    HENNIKER, N.H. – Lyndon State College captured the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Men's Cross-Country Championship on Saturday on the campus of New England College in Henniker. The Hornets grabbed the top three spots winning the championship by 44 points. Earning second place was Colby-Sawyer College who had three finishers in the top 15 and picking up third place was Maine Maritime.

    Hayden Bunnell broke his own school record and won for the third time this season, leading Colby-Sawyer at the Western New England Invitational and earning Runner of the Week honors. Green Mountain's Chris Bergen ran a personal-best at the GMC Invitational 8K and was named Rookie of the Week

    Kyle Powers toured the eight-kilometer course at the New England Open Championships in 25:17, the second-fastest in the history of Lyndon's program, and was named Runner of the Week. Brendan Walsh ran to an eighth-place finish at the Runnin' Monk Invitational, helping Johnson to a sixth place finish and earning Rookie of the Week honors.

    Lyndon's Kyle Powers earned Runner of the Week honors after finishing second at the Vermont State Championships Saturday on his home course, leading the Hornets to a second-place finish to 12th-ranked Middlebury College. UMF's Josh Wynne scored sixth at the Colby Invitational and was named Rookie of the Week.

    Colby-Sawyer's Hayden Bunnell won his second-straight race, and was name NAC Runner of the Week for the second time in as many weeks. Brendan Walsh turned in a top-five finish at his home course, helping Johnson State to a fifth place finish and earning Rookie of the Week honors.

    Hayden Bunnell cruised to a win at the UMF Invitational, besting the 51 competitors by 2:33 and was named Runner of the Week. Steven Lamonde was Johnson State's top finisher at the Aldrich Invitational hosted by Middlebury College and has earned Rookie of the Week honors.

    Lyndon State College senior Joshua Grant kicked off his season with a bang, finishing second in his opening 5K and winning the UNE Invitational this past week, leading the Hornets to a pair of wins and earning Runner of the Week accolades. Josh Wynne made a splash in his collegiate debut for the University of Maine at Farmington, placing 29th at the UNE Invitational to earn Rookie of the Week honors.
  • Lyndon Picked to Regain Men's Cross Country Title

    Lyndon State College received all but one first-place vote, and was picked to win the North Atlantic Conference Men’s Cross Country Championship with 99 points in a recent poll of the conference’s coaches. The Hornets, who won three-straight titles from 2008-2010, were defeated by just three points in last season’s championship.
