Maine Maritime senior Matt Methot continues to peak at the right time, winning the Colby Invitational and earning his third-straight Runner of the Week award. Scott Shaw helped New England College to an eighth place finish at Keene State, finishing 39th overall and earning Rookie of the Week honors.
Matt Methot shined among some of the nation's top runners at the Bowdoin Invitational, running a season-best 26:12.86 and finishing fourth for Maine Maritime to earn Runner of the Week honors. Aaron Bellomo helped Lyndon to a Vermont State Championship on Saturday at Castleton, finishing seventh in the 71-runner field and was named Rookie of the Week.
Ben Bunnell toured the 8K course at the USM Invitational in 26:25.62 to lead Colby-Sawyer and earn Runner of the Week honors. UMF's Sam Leal finished 12th overall out of the 155 runner field at the Pop Crowell Invitational and was named Rookie of the Week.
Kyle Powers led Lyndon to a win in its first race of the season, besting 122 other runners at the University of New England Invitational and earning Runner of the Week honors. Nick Kopf continued his impressive start to the season for Thomas, finishing fourth at the Terrier Invitational and earning Rookie of the Week accolades.
Castleton's Isaac French took home the top spot in the Castleton Invitational, leading the Spartans to the team title and taking home Runner of the Week honors. Nick Kopf was one of only six runners to finish the Husson Harrier Invitational in under 30 minutes, finishing sixth and leading Thomas to a fourth place finish en route to Rookie of the Week honors.
