    Alyssa Eugley proved nearly impossible to stop this week, slugging 1.133 with four home runs, two triples, and two doubles to lead the Thomas offense and earn Player of the Week. Emily Soule struck out 29 batters in 33 innings of work, including a career-best 12 strikeouts in a UMF win and was named Pitcher of the Week. Mindy Carl batted .571, while slugging .857 for Lyndon this week and earned Rookie of the Week accolades.

    Hayley Rae batted .562 with nine runs batted in and seven runs scored to pace the Maine Maritime offense and earn Player of the Week honors. Kayla Wood went 2-1 with a 1.17 ERA for Castleton, ending the week with a ten-inning scoreless streak and was named Pitcher of the Week. Casey Lopes was red hot for Husson, posting a slash line of .562/.532/.812 and was named Rookie of the Week.

    Jena Finnegan was a force for the Lyndon offense this week, going 12-for-19 with seven RBI to earn Player of the Week honors. Kelsey Crowe kept hitters off balance in five separate appearances for Thomas, striking out 26 in 22.2 innings of work and was named Pitcher of the Week. Castleton's Katie Gagne was impressive in the circle and in the batter's box, earning two wins with 13 strikeouts and posting a .421 batting average to earn Rookie of the Week accolades.

    Sami Schultz led Husson to a perfect 4-0 mark on the week, batting .545 with two doubles, a home run and seven RBI to earn Player of the Week honors. Emily Soule was impressive in the pitching circle for UMF, striking out 16 in a pair of complete-game wins and was named Pitcher of the Week while freshman teammate Kennadi Grover went 5-for-7 including two home runs to earn Rookie of the Week accolades.

    Phyllicia Jordan batted .400 over eight games for Thomas this week, including a double and four RBI to earn Player of the Week honors. Amanda Ryan pitched Husson to a win over Brandeis, striking out three and walking one in the complete-game win to earn Pitcher of the Week honors. Teammate Casey Lopes posted an impressive .667/.857/1.000 slash line for the doubleheader and was named Rookie of the Week.

    New England College opened the season with an eight-game swing through Myrtle Beach and got impressive performances from Taylor Belsito and Gina Drappi who earned Player and Rookie of the Week honors respectively. Belsito batted .444 with six RBI, while Drappi posted a .471 batting average and slugged her first collegiate home run.

    Lyndsey and Kayla Merrill played key roles in getting Husson off to a 5-3 start, earning Player and Pitcher of the Week honors respectively. Lyndsey posted a slash line of .407/.500/.630 to pace the Eagle offense, while Kayla earned four of the five Husson wins in the pitching circle, striking out 16 while walking just one in 30 innings. Ashlee Knight enjoyed the first week of her season for Maine Maritime, batting .444 with two doubles and five RBI to earn Rookie of the Week honors.
  • Husson Picked to Win Sixth-Straight NAC Softball Title

    Husson University was voted the favorite to win its sixth-straight North Atlantic Conference Softball Title in a preseason poll of the league’s coaches. The Eagles received seven of the eight possible first-place votes and finished with 63 total points.
