Player of the Week

Valerie Clark, SUNY Canton
(Senior, OF - Pendleton, New York)

Clark hit .800 (8-for-10) with two doubles, a home run, and 5 RBIs in four games last week. In a 9-5 win on Thursday versus SUNY Delhi, she went 3-for-4 with a double and scored twice. After getting injured early in Game 2 against the Broncos, Clark responded by going 5-for-6 with a double, a home run, and five runs scored while driving in five more, as the Roos swept NVU-Lyndon 11-1 and 20-1 in a pair of five-inning games.


Pitcher of the Week

Kayla Chavarri, SUNY Canton
(Freshman, P/U - Pawling, New York)

Chavarri posted a 3-1 mark with a 1.00 earned run average in 21 innings pitched, including two complete games, over four appearances last week. The freshman finished the week with 18 strikeouts as opposing batters hit just .176 against her. Chavarri earned a pair of wins versus SUNY Delhi and one against NVU-Lyndon, combining to give up a single earned run in the wins and only three across the week. She also hit .286 from the plate with four hits, a double, three runs, and five runs batted in.


Rookie of the Week

Bailey Dunphy, Thomas
(Freshman, C/OF - North Anson, Maine)

Dunphy hit .417 (5-for-12) as Thomas earned a 3-1 week in conference play. The freshman drove in three runs and scored three, with four doubles and two stolen bases. In the field, she had a perfect fielding percentage and caught a runner attempting to steal from behind the plate. In the Terriers 8-0 win over UMaine-Presque on Sunday, Dunphy was 3-for-3 with two doubles, three runs scored, and one RBI.
