    The North Atlantic Conference (NAC) is pleased to announce that Cailin Bullett of Colby-Sawyer College has been selected as the winner of its Woman of the Year award in a vote of the league's athletic directors. A four-year standout women's basketball player at colby-Sawyer, Bullett will be honored at a home event during the 2013-14 academic year.

    Colby-Sawyer senior Taylor DeSanty has been selected the 2012-13 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Women’s Basketball Player of the Year in a vote of the league’s coaches, marking the second-straight season she has garnered the honor. The three-time Player of the Week honoree led the league in scoring, averaging 19.3 points per game in conference play, while ranking among the top-five in field goals (136) and three-pointers made (35).

Maine Maritime's Mary Badeen was named Rookie of the Week after averaging 15 points and 4.3 rebounds, and canning a program-record seven three pointers against Johnson State.

Burgess, the 2012 NAC Rookie of the Year, was the picture of concistency going over the 20-point, 12-rebound mark in both games. Megan Pelletier started her collegiate career off on a high note, pouring in a game-high 22 points and hauling in 15 rebounds to lead Thomas to a season opening win and earning Rookie of the Week accolades.

    Colby-Sawyer College has been selected as the preseason favorite to win the North Atlantic Conference women's basketball title in a vote conducted by the league's coaches. The Chargers, who received seven first-place votes, return nine players and all five starters from last year’s team which finished runner-up to Castleton.
