In a semifinal game on Friday, the Eagles faced off with NVU-Lyndon, a team featuring the Defensive Player and Rookie of the Year. Worcester put up 15 points, grabbed seven rebounds, and handed out five assists in the dominant win (77-39). Then in the championship game on Saturday, another defensive juggernaut, Worcester scored a game-high 21 points, with six rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Worcester made 8-out-of-10 free throws in the 58-51 championship victory. Rookie of the Week

Vanessa Duarte, Husson

(Freshman, G - Hawthorne, New York)

Duarte earns her third Rookie of the Week honors coming out of a Conference Championship-winning weekend. Duarte scored ten points on 4-of-6 shooting from the floor, including 2-of-3 three-pointers, in a NAC semifinal game on Friday. She also tallied eight rebounds, three assists, and one steal in the win. In the championship game on Saturday, Duarte put Husson ahead for the first time in the game by draining a three, just after teammate Kenzie Worcester tied the game with a trey of her own, deep into the second quarter. Duarte lit up from there, hitting two more three-pointers on her way to 14 points in 16 minutes off the bench.
