Player of the Week

Molly Denny, SUNY Canton
(Junior, M - Adams, New York)

Denny tallied eight goals, four assists, 16 ground balls and 12 caused turnovers in three contests last week. The junior captain finished with game-highs of five goals, two assists and five ground balls while adding four draw controls in a 20-4 NAC semifinal game win versus Husson to lead the Roos to the NAC Championship game. With her seven-point game, Denny tied the single-season program record for points with 85. She also totaled two goals, two assists, and game-bests of seven ground balls and seven caused turnovers in a close contest with in-state rival Utica.


Defensive Player of the Week

Heather Boland, Me.-Farmington
(Senior, G - Griswold, Connecticut)

Boland played 120 minutes as the netminder for the Beavers this week, making 17 saves on 29 shots-on-goal for a 58.6 save percentage, as the Beavers head to the NAC Championship for the first time in school history. She made nine saves in the regular season finale, a 12-8 win against Husson. Boland then made eight saves in UMF's 12-4 victory over Maine Maritime in a semifinal game win.


Rookie of the Week

Stephanie Thayer, SUNY Canton
(Freshman, A - West Henrietta, New York)

Thayer finished the week with three goals, two assists and a caused turnover in three games last week for the Roos. The rookie scored two goals and added two assists to help lead Canton to a 20-4 semifinal game win versus Husson to advance to the NAC Championship game. She finished the week with a .667 shots on goal percentage.
