NAC Women's Soccer Weekly Honors (Week Ending 9/23/18)

Player of the Week

Eryn Doiron, Maine Maritime

(Jr., M - Wilton, Maine)

Doiron helped lead Maine Maritime to a 2-0 week, tallying her second hat trick of the season against UMaine-Machias on Tuesday while dishing out an assist and tallying the insurance goal against SUNY Canton on Saturday in the Mariners 2-0 victory, securing the team's fourth-straight shutout.

Defensive Player of the Week

(Sr., M - Temecula, Calif.)

DeFrank helped lead the Mariners to a 2-0 week and was an instrumental part of the defense that secured their fourth-straight shutout with the 2-0 NAC win over SUNY Canton on Saturday. DeFrank also tallied the game-winning goal in that game, giving the Mariners the victory in the first-ever meeting between the two teams.

Hoving had a stellar six goal week for the Terriers, including a five goal performance in an 8-0 conference win over NVU-Johnson on Saturday. She also scored her team's lone goal in a 2-1 overtime loss to USM on Wednesday.

The North Atlantic Conference tournament begins October 27.

SUNY Canton Allison Wakefield combined to make 18 saves in a pair of losses to Clarkson University (3-0) and Maine Maritime Academy (2-0) on Wednesday and Saturday. Her best game of the week came when she stopped 11 of the 13 shots she faced to keep the Roos in the game versus the Mariners.

NVU-Lyndon won their only contest, a 2-0 conference win over UMaine-Presque Isle on Saturday.

Senior striker Jordi Legassie continues to have a solid season for the Owls. UMPI will finally play two Home matches this coming weekend vs. SUNY Canton on Saturday and a rematch with the Fisher Falcons on Sunday.
