NAC Women's Soccer Weekly Honors (Week Ending 10/7/18)



Player of the Week 

McKenna Brodeur, Me.-Farmington

(So., F - Oakland, Maine)

Brodeur scored five goals on the week including a hat trick against Southern Maine on Tuesday. She dished out an assist against USM making her involved in all four goals in the 5-4 loss to a team that held all opponents to two goals or fewer in their first eleven games of the season. Brodeur scored two goals in a 4-0 win over NAC oponent SUNY Canton on Saturday, bringing her total to 11 points for the week.



Defensive Player of the Week 

Emily Conway, Maine Maritime

(So., GK - Charleston, S.C.)

Repeating as Defensive Player of the Week, Conway was impressive in net for the Mariners once again. She recorded 15 saves over the 1-1 week, and in the Mariners' seventh shutout of the season, Conway turned away all seven shots she faced against Husson University to lead the Mariners to a big NAC victory and improve to the team's conference record to 4-0.


Rookie of the Week 

Lindsay Sanchez-Cardona, Northern Vermont-Johnson

(Fr., M - Stamford, Conn.)

Sanchez-Cardona lifted the Badgers to a 1-0 lead in the first minute of the game against NVU-Lyndon. The goal held up as the game winner in the 1-0 conference victory. Sanchez-Cordona contributed 2 goals and 2 assists against non-conference oponent Pine Manor as part of a 10-0 rout.
