NAC Women's Soccer Weekly Honors (Week Ending 10/21/18)

 

 

Player of the Week 

Katherine Hoving, Thomas

(Fr., F - Bristol, Maine)

Hoving scored five goals and registered two assists for 12 points in the Terriers 2-0 week. The freshman picked up two goals and two assists in Thomas' non-conference win (5-0) over UMaine-Machias on Wednesday, then scored her fourth hat-trick of the season in a 3-0 win over confernece foe SUNY Canton on Saturday.

   

Defensive Player of the Week 

Kayla Gordon, Thomas

(Sr., GK - Wiscasset, Maine)

Gordon had two shutouts in the Terriers 2-0 week. She made six saves in a 5-0 win over non-conference oponent UMaine-Machias on Wednesday, then registered three saves in a 3-0 shutout of SUNY Canton on Saturday. Gordon now has five consecutive shutouts and nine overall this season.

   

Rookie of the Week 

Margot Simeon, Maine Maritime

(Fr., M - Findlay, Ohio)

Simeon was instrumental in leading the Mariners to a 1-0-1 week. The freshman midfielder netted two goals on four shots in the Mariners' 7-1 victory over NVU-Johnson, leading the team to the win and preserving their unblemished record against NAC opponents.
