Track Athlete of the Week

Leah Desjardins, Husson
(Junior - Poland, Maine)

Desjardins scored 14 points on her own towards the team total of 32.5, and added four more as a member of the fifth-place 4x400-meter relay team. She raced to three top-four finishes, including third in the 200-meters (26.57 seconds) and fourth in the 100-meters (12.75 seconds). She also set a new personal record in the high jump, clearing 1.45 meters for a three-way tie for third.


Field Athlete of the Week

Susan Hoskins, SUNY Delhi
(Junior - Binghamton, New York)

Hoskins placed tenth at the Cortland Classic in the heptathlon with 3,188 points, beating her previous career-high by 200 points. She earned 542 points for her 29.16 time in the 200-meter dash. Her highest single-event point total was in the high jump, clearing 1.42 meters for 599 points, while also setting a new high-mark for the NAC this season.


Rookie of the Week

Lillian Friars, Thomas College
(Sophomore - Lebanon, Maine)

Friars finished in the top-five of three field events at the Fitchburg State Eric Loeschner Memorial Invitational on Saturday. Her top finish was in the Discus with a 31.56 meter throw to come in third place. In the hammer throw, she snagged fourth with a 34.76 meter mark. Friars pushed the shot put 9.82 meters to claim fifth place in the event.
