NAC Cross Country Honors (Week Ending 9/16/18)

 


 

MEN'S RUNNER OF THE WEEK

Osman Doorow, University of Maine-Farmington

(Sophomore - Lewiston, Maine )

Repeating as runner of the week, Doorow came in 32nd out of 295 runners at the UMass-Dartmouth Invitational on Saturday with a time of 25:59.44. Doorow was the top NAC finisher in the competitive 8k field.

 

 

   

MEN'S ROOKIE OF THE WEEK 

Joseph Van Ess, Maine Maritime Academy

(Freshman - Mechanicsville, Va.)

Van Ess finished 124th out of 295 runners at Saturday's UMass Dartmouth Invitational, completing the 8K course with a time of 28:01.85. Van Ess was the fastest NAC rookie to finish.

   

WOMEN'S RUNNER & ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Zosia Prince, NVU-Lyndon

(Freshman - Sutton, Vt.)

Prince, running at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational on Saturday, clocked 21:22 over the 3.17 mile course. She was the top runner for all NAC competitors on the day. Prince finished 161st overall out of 318 Division II & Division III runners.

   

 

AROUND THE NAC

 

MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY

SUNY Canton was idle this week. The Roos return to the trails on Saturday when they take part in the Hoffman Invitational at crosstown St. Lawrence University.

UMaine-Farmington took 27th place with 770 points at the UMass-Dartmouth Invitational.

Husson has two weeks off before the Maine State Championship at Bowdoin College on September 29.

NVU-Johnson competed in the Lobster Dash Race, an open 5 mile beach run in Ogunquit, Maine.

NVU-Lyndon ran at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational. Freshman Anthony Pifari (Littleton, N.H.) was the top finisher, coming in 147th out of 295 total runners.

Maine Maritime finished 30th out of 41 teams at Saturday's UMass Dartmouth Invitational, led by sophomore Aylen Wolf (Surry, Maine)

UMaine-Presque Isle was off this week preparing to race again this weekend at Gordon College.

Thomas was off this week and will run in the UMaine-Augusta invitational on Saturday.

NVU-Lyndon finished 42nd out of 45 teams at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational. Freshman Zosia Prince (Sutton, Vt.) was Lyndon's top finisher, coming in 161st out of 318 runners.

Maine Maritime Academy finished 43rd out of 45 teams at Saturday's UMass Dartmouth Invitational, led by senior Sierra James (Campton, N.H.)

UMaine-Presque Isle was off this week preparing to race again this weekend at Gordon College.

Thomas was off this week and will run in the UMaine-Augusta invitational on Saturday.
