NAC Cross Country Honors (Week Ending 10/7/18)

 
 

 

MEN'S RUNNER OF THE WEEK

Jarrod Ottman, Thomas College

(Jr., - Merrimack, N.H.)

Ottman picked up his fourth top-two finish of the year, placing second in a field that included over 80 runners at the Runnin' Monks Invitational hosted by St. Joseph's College (ME) on Saturday. The junior ran the 8K course in 28:11.1.

 

   

MEN'S ROOKIE OF THE WEEK 

Joel Bond, Husson

(Fr., - Houlton, Maine)

Bond continued to pace the Eagles as they competed at the RSEQ AUS Interlock Meet in Canada. The race included more than 120 runners from 12 teams, including two nationally ranked Canadian teams. The rookie earned 52nd place, running an 8k in 29:14.

   

WOMEN'S RUNNER OF THE WEEK

Lindsey Joliat, Husson

(Jr., - Brewer, Maine)

With the best time of the day for Husson at the RSEQ AUS Interlock Meet, Joliat crossed the 6k finish line in 26:02. Nearly a minute faster than her time on the same course in 2017, Joliat placed 58th out of 127 runners from 12 schools, including two nationally ranked Canadian teams.

 

   

WOMEN'S ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Valentine Degiovanni, University of Maine-Presque Isle

(Freshman - Nice, France)

Degiovanni was the top NAC runner at the St. Joseph's College (ME) Runnin' Monks Invitaitonal on Saturday, finishing in 20th place overall in a field of 98 runners. Her time of 22.06.9 over the 5k race was the fifth fastest for all entered freshmen and 41 seconds ahead of the next NAC runner.
